Phytessence wakame is an extract from a Japanese sea kelp, renowned for its health-giving properties. Particularly, it inhibits the activity of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid in the skin. Hyaluronic acid, together with elastin and collagen, is essential to maintain the elasticity, smoothness and tone of your skin. Capuacu butter comes from the fruit of the Capuacu tree, which is native to South America. It has been used for thousands of years by native tribes to protect against the sun and to help heal burns. Capuacu butter is a superb moisturizer for the skin and is also an excellent emollient, which makes the skin feel softer and look younger. It is rich in essential fatty acids, particularly stearic and oleic acid, which are vital nutrients for the skin. It helps to soothe inflamed skin and also makes your skin feel wonderfully fresh after showering.
Babassu is a light, natural wax, which softens and soothes your skin (giving it a nice velvet like feel) and creates an invisible barrier to retain moisture and keep out dirt and grime. It is made from Babassu oil, from the kernel of the fruit of Babassu palm, which grows in the Amazon region of Brazil and has been used for centuries to soothe the skin. Babassu oil is beneficial for both dry and oily complexions. It gently moisturizes the skin without making it oily. It has proven benefits for eczema, itchy, dry and inflamed skin.
Grapeseed oil is a powerful antioxidant and also creates an invisible film on your skin, to keep in moisture. It is especially effective for repairing the skin around the eyes and has also been shown to reduce stretch marks on the skin. Grapeseed oil is rich in linoleic acid and several other essential oils which are necessary for skin health, and it also contains natural vitamin E.
D-Panthenol (vitamin B5) helps repair skin tissue and acts as a natural moisturizer. It also protects the skin naturally against sunburn, provides relief for existing sunburn, and enhances the natural tanning process.
Witch hazel is renowned for its natural soothing effect on the skin. Witch hazel is also traditionally known as a good first reaction against shaving cuts and abrasions for men and is also effective for helping sunburn.
